        Sincere thanks from the Editors of Zhitomir Oblast Memory Book due to all men and women living abroad for their assistance in identification of 150000 Jews murdered in Zhitomir Oblast. The names of the Holocaust victims will be listed in Book of Grief, the final chapter of Memory Book.

        Unfortunately we could not identify all children, elderly people, men and women victimized in ghetto and death camps in Zhitomir, Berdichev, Novograd-Volynsky, Korosten and other places.

        As the information we receive contains mostly last/first names, patronymics and dates of birth, we would be grateful for additional information for every file:

            • last name, first name;
            • patronymic;
            • year and place of birth;
            • social status/occupation;
            • military rank for prisoners of war;
            • facts of death (killed at mass action, murdered in death camp in Zhitomir);
            • date of death and burial place.
